Appointments

steth_pills_diaryAppointments can be made by telephoning during normal surgery hours. We have an email address which you can use for non-urgent requests for appointments or call backs, which is parkhouseprestatyn@wales.nhs.uk  We may respond by telephone or email.  By initiating contact by email you are consenting to us replying to you by email.

You can also register for the NHS Wales app which will give you access to some on line booking - please ask at Reception.

Routine appointments can be made two to three weeks in advance, which will enable us to offer you an appointment at a time best suitable to your requirements and preference of practitioner if available.

You will be asked about the nature of your appointment to enable reception staff to give you an appointment with the appropriate health care professional.

Same day appointment requests will be triaged by the nurse and she will book you in for a telephone or face to face consultation with the appropriate clinician if it is deemed clinically urgent.

Children under 16 years with acute presentations will be offered a same day consultation with an appropriate clinician (this may be a telephone consultation).

A GP appointment is for ten minutes.  Therefore, usually only one problem can be dealt with in this time.  If you have multiple problems that you feel may take more than 10 minutes, please let the Receptionist know when booking the appointment.

If you arrive more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, the clinician will not be able to see you.

Please remember Westfield surgery is a branch site and is closed on Wednesday and Friday afternoon.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.  Four of our nurses are prescribers.
